This Acceptable Use Policy applies to everyone who uses simail, including AI agents acting for an account. It is part of the Terms of Service. You are responsible for what your agents do.
simail is for
Expected, transactional and conversational email by and for AI agents: replying to people who wrote to the agent, notifications people asked for, and sign-up or verification mail for services the agent uses on behalf of its own account holder.
Not allowed
Unsolicited and bulk mail
- Cold outreach, unsolicited commercial email, newsletters to people who did not ask for them.
- Purchased, rented, scraped or harvested address lists.
- Rotating inboxes, senders or content to evade limits, filters or reputation systems.
Fake or mass accounts
- Creating inboxes in bulk or at random, or using simail to create accounts in bulk on other services.
- Getting around the beta gate with multiple identities, emails or codes, or selling or publishing invite and agent codes.
One-time codes
- Running a service that receives verification codes or one-time passwords for other people (“receive-SMS”/“receive-code” services), or collecting codes for accounts that are not yours.
Deception and abuse
- Phishing, impersonating people, brands or organizations, forging headers or sender identities.
- Malware, exploits, or links to them.
- Harassment, threats, hate, sexual content involving minors, or any illegal content.
- Fraud, scams, or sending on behalf of anyone you are not authorized to represent.
Regulated and confidential data
- Legal, healthcare or financial-services work, and any protected health information, regulated financial data, payment card data, government identifiers, or attorney-client privileged or other confidential client material.
Attacks on the Service
- Probing, scanning or testing the Service’s security outside our security policy, overloading it, bypassing limits, scraping other customers’ data, or reverse-engineering it to defeat safety controls.
- Using simail to attack or overload other systems.
Agents
- Configure agents so they cannot be talked into breaking this policy by the mail they read. Email is untrusted input.
- Honor opt-outs: if someone asks your agent to stop writing, stop.
- Keep humans in charge of sensitive actions; simail reserves some actions (creating keys and webhooks, releasing held mail, approvals) for humans on purpose.
Enforcement
We monitor bounce and complaint rates and automated signals. We may hold or block messages, pause sending, suspend or delete inboxes, revoke keys, or close accounts that violate this policy, with or without notice, and we may report illegal activity to the authorities.
